    Hi,
It all depends who your host family is or rather who you are getting them through i.e which agency.
If you are going through an agency ask them what you can expect in terms of curfews and meals. In general a home stay will include meals. The people that do homestays are noramlly more than willing to help you out and show you the beautiful country.
There probably will be a curfew as it is their home and they won’t want to be woken up at all hours of the night with you coming home!
    Good luck, you’ll love it!

Safety is important! So be sure you know who your host family is going to be and email them with your questions. If your host family won’t help you now or you do not know who your family will be – be careful!! If they don’t help you with your questions think how they will be when you get there. In June 2006 a convicted sex offender in New Zealand who lied about his name was hosting a Chinese girl. His name was Paul Franklin King but he used the name Graham Wootton. Find out if fingerprint-based criminal checks are done by the placement agency. For safety tips see Committee for Safety of Foreign Exchange Students

Yes they will definatly cook for you and do your washing etc. All they will ask for is that you respect and look after their house rules . Relax, youll make life time friends.
